My name is Cait. I live in a small town in Massachusetts. I have had a love for gardening and fresh garden produce since I was a young kid. I have fond memories of helping in my grandfather's garden and eating tomatoes fresh off the vine. He would plant for abundance so that he could share with friends and family. We would drive around in his big red truck and leave gifts of produce on everyone's doorsteps.

Growing up, I never had to think about what was in my food. I blissfully ate whatever I pleased. In my 20s everything changed for me as I struggled with reactions and digestion issues. I also faced worsening anxiety both related to food and just life in general. In a span of just a few years, I went from having very few issues with food to a laundry list of them. I struggled to find a doctor that could accurately tell me what was going on. Over the years, I have developed a good idea of what foods work and don't work for me. I'm still hoping to get answers someday, but for now, I get by with eating things that work for me, avoiding the things that don't and working continuously to manage my anxiety.

Gardening and growing food have provided me with many benefits. It is a mental escape, something I can do to relax and take my mind off things. It provides us with a frugal solution to having fresh healthy food. It has allowed me to preserve more food and further explore my love for cooking.

I hope that this blog, Instagram, and my new youtube channel will be a place for me to document my experience and share some of what I'm learining with you!
